Kudos to Dr. Brennan and the entire Shirlington Animal Hospital staff for caring for my senior kitty, Khloe, in her hour of need. Khloe was not a patient there, but upon explaining over the phone how ill Khloe was, I was asked to drop her off at 8 AM the next morning, even though they had no openings in the schedule. Mid-afternoon, after Khloe had had a complete exam, to include all appropriate tests, Dr. Brennan called me and spent 40 minutes explaining the results of the exam and tests. She answered all my questions and calmed my nerves. I picked Khloe up that evening with her meds and prescription foods that she'll need going forward. I received an email laying out every detail (all six pages!) of the care Khloe received. It goes without saying that, going forward, Khloe will be cared for by Dr. Brennan and the dedicated staff there. I'm grateful beyond words for taking in a pet they had never seen, and treating her in such a loving, caring way. She's a Shirlington Animal Hospital patient from now on! very thorough, and very thoughtful throughout the whole process. I took my dog there because he was sick, and I will absolutely be taking him there any time we need to see a vet in the future. the staff are all very kind and will take whatever time needed to calm your nerves and take care of your pet, and they loved on my boy so so much. there is a $105 new patient fee when you book the first appointment, but it is a credit towards the cost of the first appointment (just a note for new people looking to book). they took great care of my boy and i know they’d take great care of every fur baby!!!

If your pet needs care beyond what our hospital can provide, we will refer you to an emergency facility in the area. We may be able to make this determination over the phone to expedite proper care.
